Three Horseshoes23 High Street
The ironstone Three Horseshoes has been extended over the years, although the original pub is said to date from 1757. The name is taken from the forge that was originally on the site and where Benjamin Franklin's Uncle Thomas was the last of the family to work the family forge. This is now to house a brewery under the Benjamin Franklin name. The traditional multi-room layout has been retained, with two separate bars and games area with Northants skittles and darts. Happy Hour Friday 5.30-7.30pm with beer at £2.75 a pint. For its size, it often has some good bands featured. Once a month on a Sunday a record vinyl shop is housed in the car park, 10-3.
