Northants branch of CAMRA launches its third Ale Trail around pubs of Northamptonshire.

The Trail kicks off at the Beer Festival at the Potbelly Brewery on the 8th to 10th May and the County Beer Festival on the 30th to 31st May. The collector cards will be in the centre pages of the ‘Over The Barrel’ magazine (plus separate sheets will be available) which will be distributed to pubs as well as the festivals mentioned. The Ale Trail ends on the 31st August giving everyone over 3 months to visit the pubs.

Ale Trailers need to collect a sticker at each pub by purchasing a half or full pint of locally produced real ale i.e. brewed in Northamptonshire. Collect 25 stickers including at least 10 from ‘yellow’ pubs which are further afield so tougher to get to. A unique Ale Trail T shirt* will be awarded to those that collect the required stickers.

The cards can be exchanged for a T shirt* at either Phipps Brewery, 54, Kingswell St, Northampton, NN1 1PR or the Midland Band Social Club, 2, Hallwood Rd, Kettering, NN16 9RG.

The cards with at least 25 stickers (including 10 yellow ones) will be entered into a prize draw where there are 3 individual cases of ale to be won.

FAQ’s

• Do you have enough T shirts for prizes?
We do have a limited stock, but hopefully have sufficient based on last years numbers. However, we may run out of sizes available.

• Do I get a sticker if there is no local ale on sale?
There should be a local ale on sale, but naturally beer can run out! Choose another real ale and the bar staff will issue you with a sticker.

• Where can I get an Ale Trail card from?
The Launch events will have plenty of cards. Also, all pubs on the Trail will have a small stock, or the cards can be downloaded from our website. The ‘Over The Barrel’ magazine will also have the card in the centre pages.

• Can I get a sticker for any other drink other than real ale?
No, this is an Ale Trail aimed at supporting our local brewers.
