NORTHAMPTON BEER FESTIVAL Friday 30 – Saturday 31 May 2025 Becket's Park, Northampton
Beer Festival heaven as once again the branch supports the Northampton County Beer Festival which takes place at Becket’s Park over two days opening at 11:00 on the Friday. Once again our Branch will support the running of the real ale and cider bars. Staff are required at all sessions, so if you can spare a few hours please book through our website.
BRANCH PUB OF THE YEAR PRESENTATION Wednesday 4 June 2025 Towcester Mill Brewery Tap, Towcester
Our third presentation following the Pub of the Year judging is for the Pub of the Year 2025 winner which takes us to the Towcester Mill Brewery Tap. Runner-up last year, this vibrant brewery tap has grown since its early years and showcases the award-winning Towcester Mill beers. Meet at 19:30 for the presentation which will take place at 20:00
THE BOLTON WANDERER WEEKEND TRIP Friday 20 – Sunday 22 June 2025 Bolton
For our 27th such trip, we will be heading to Greater Manchester and Lancashire where I have planned a number of great pubs and breweries. Accommodation has already been booked in Bury which provides a great base for visiting pubs in the evening too. Fully booked, so for those booked on it, joining instructions will be sent out by Monday 16th June.
ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL - SUMMER SUNDAY SAUNTER 15 Sunday 13 July 2025 Northants/Leics
We last did an SSS including Sunday lunch on 23 October 2022, so taking the heritage bus, we plan to visit Leicestershire border pubs including three on the ale trail in Clipston, Great Oxendon and Stoke Albany, plus the Market Harborough Beer House. Two other GBG pubs are to be included and a Sunday dinner option too. More details on June calendar. Pick-ups expected to be Long Buckby, Northampton, Wellingborough and Kettering (11:30), returning to Northampton by 19:00. Please book.
BRANCH MEETING Monday 14 July 2025 Rushden Historical Transport Society, Rushden
Always a favourite, our annual meeting here is aboard the railway coach in the platform at the Rushden Historical Transport Society where six beers including a dark and ciders are always available. Bring your Ale trail card too for a stamp! Meeting starts at 19:30.
BRANCH SOCIAL – ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL – BATHAM’S 6 BUS TRIP Saturday 26 July 2025 Black Country
Thirty years ago I organised my first social and visited all nine Batham’s pubs on the heritage bus and today, with ownership upto 13, we will visit the new five plus the brewery tap and others, including Sarah Hughes too! Usual pick-ups, please book.
