- SOCIAL GAMES NIGHT – NORTHAMPTON
Wednesday 2 September 2026
Albion Brewery Bar, Northampton
Our popular games night with a skittles match amongst ourselves. This regular event is on the first Wednesday of the month at the Phipps’ Albion Brewery Bar who have offered a £10 voucher to the monthly winner. If you don’t play skittles, you are still more than welcome at this monthly event and you can always play cards or dominoes instead. Meet at 18:30, starts at 19:00.
- BRANCH MEETING AND PUB OF THE SEASON – LITCHBOROUGH
Monday 14 September 2026
Old Red Lion, Litchborough
The Branch meeting this month will be at the Old Red Lion, Litchborough where we will take the opportunity to present Jacob who has been voted Rural Summer Pub of the Season. We don’t often have a branch meeting down the southwest, so please make the effort. Meeting starts at 19:30
- MANCHESTER HISTORICAL PUBS
Friday 18 September 2026
Manchester
After last year’s popular day trip to Manchester by train, I will be organising this again. Very similar to our November London Day Out, but with better and cheaper beer and pubs not visited for a long time! This time the pubs on the list will be in the Northern Quarter with the train fare around £30 with railcard.
- BRANCH SOCIAL - BRACKLEY
Saturday 19 September 2026
Brackley
Trish will give a "1760 pub crawl" followed by a visit to the new nano brewery at 20 Arches and a visit to the new freehouse "The Red Lion" which previously was a Charles Wells pub. Here we should be able to do some tasting cards. Richard has organised a minibus which will be £6 per head. Please contact him if you would like to come, email ku.gro.armac.stnahtron@riahc and he will give you further details. It will be open to other members if there is still space. This is a good opportunity to show anyone who wishes to join the tasting panel, how it works.
- GOOD BEER GUIDE LAUNCH – NORTHAMPTON
Thursday 24 September 2026
Malt Shovel Tavern, Northampton
With the national launch of the Good Beer Guide 2027 today, this year we have our own launch hosted by the Malt Shovel Tavern, our current Pub of the Year. For any member wishing to purchase the indispensable GBG, a limited number will be available at a discounted price (cash only). The Good Beer Guide is the UK’s best-selling beer and pub guide and it continues to represent the best of the best in the brewing and hospitality industry with 4,500 pubs, bars, and clubs selected. With eight beers including a dark and cider too, there will be something for everyone. Meet at 19:00.
- LAST NATIONAL BREWRIANA AUCTION
Saturday 24 October 2026
Burton-upon-Trent
After 39 events, CAMRA’s Games & Collectables are calling it a day for the National Breweriana Auction. It's a very specialist event to run and we can't find new blood to keep it running.
