- ANNIVERSARY LUNCH - BRIXWORTH
Wednesday 29 October 2025

It’s been a great year celebrating the Branch’s 50th Anniversary which began with a formal luncheon in October 2024. So, to end, I have arranged an informal lunch where it all began – at the George, Brixworth. Just pop along to the library room but if you wish to have lunch, please let me know so that I can reserve you a place. Start at 12:00, although lunch will be reserved for 13:00.
- SOCIAL GAMES NIGHT – NORTHAMPTON
Wednesday 5 November 2025
Albion Brewery Bar, Northampton
Our third games night with a skittles match amongst ourselves. This regular event is on the first Wednesday of the month at the Albion Brewery Bar who have offered a £10 voucher to the monthly winner. If you don’t play skittles, you are still more than welcome for this monthly event and you can always play cards or dominoes instead. Start at 18:30.
- BRANCH MEETING – OUNDLE
Monday 10 November 2025

We have our first branch meeting in the former Peterborough Branch area at the Ship Inn, Oundle where we hope our new transferring members will attend. - LONDON DAY OUT
Friday 14 November 2025
London
This year we again visit London for the usual mix of historical pubs and GBG pubs that are either new to us or haven’t been visited for a while. The final area will be decided upon the issue of the new GBG. Depart on the first off-peak trains with a Group Save discount (3-9 folk) cost is around £26.00, although advance purchase are cheaper with return after 19:00. You will also need a tube ticket which can be on an Oyster card or credit card. Please let me know if you intend coming so that I can issue you the day’s itinerary including train times and map. Please book by 10th November.
- ROMAN AWAYDAY – GLOUCESTER
Saturday 13 December 2025
Gloucester
This year’s Christmas Roman Awayday takes us to Gloucester, a lovely city with its redeveloped docks and city around the cathedral. This is also the final weekend of the Christmas Markets for anyone who wishes to dip-out on a couple of pubs. With six GBGs pubs there may even be time for a nip into Cheltenham. With prices continuing to rise, the larger coach works out at £30 per head. Usual Desborough, Kettering, Wellingborough and Northampton pick-ups. Please book soon to avoid disappointment.
