Formerly the Plumbers Arms, the pub is situated in Manor Road which runs parallel to and west of the Market Place. A traditional white-washed back-street pub with two bars, it has a fish tank in the lounge. On the outside wall is a Halls Brewery mark, since the pub's history shows this as being one of the towns Blencowes brewery taps which was subsequently taken over by Halls, itself falling under the Aylesbury Brewing Company before being taken over by Ind Coope. In its former guise it had an off licence on the entry with doors leading to the two bars as today.
