See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Built in the early 1970's and was originally known as Tarry's after the chap who built it. It soon became known locally as "Tarry awhile". Taken over by Whitbread's Beefeater chain many years ago, a Premier Inn hotel was added more recently on land to the west of the bar/restaurant. The pub is typical of many built in the 70's and there is much external timber-work in evidence. The actual bar area is on split-levels with raised seating around the windows. Two regular real ales are available. The Hook Norton beer may be substituted on occasion for a seasonal special but otherwise it is more or less a permanent feature. Food is served every day and an "all you can eat" buffet breakfast is served between 06.30 - 10.30 (but you cannot have a beer with it!). The main Beefeater Restaurant is at the far end of the bar.
