HERITAGE BUS TRIP “SUMMER SATURDAY SAUNTER 17”
Our seventeenth “Summer Saturday Saunter” takes us to the northeast of the county for two brewery presentations, a Pub of the Season Award, and five Ale Trail pubs. Our first stop will be a rare visit to Digfield Ales where we will present two awards; Barnwell Bitter for winning the Session Bitters and Mad Monk for winning Brown and Read Ales, Old Ales and Strong Milds categories. It’s then onto Oundle to present the Ship Inn with the Summer Town Pub of the Season, and then Nene Valley Brewery whose Egyptian Cream was the Porter and Stouts and subsequent Overall Winner in the County Beer Festival. Ww will then nip into the Tap and Kitchen (GBG) for a sticker, followed by the Chequered Skipper, Ashton; Queens Head, Nassington; Shuckburgh Arms (GBG), Southwick, and Cross Keys (GBG), Kings Cliffe. From Northampton at 09:00, return times are expected to be by 19:00. There will be no food arranged. Please book, joining instructions sent on Wednesday 12th.
