This compact, stone-built village pub is well worth seeking out. The bar area has flagstone flooring and a large inglenook with seats inside. A small passage leads to two further cosy rooms. Near to the Knightly Way footpath, the pub is popular with walkers and cyclists and incorporates a 45-seater restaurant, kitchen and a shop selling local farm produce. A wide range of locally brewed bottled beers is stocked with Merrimen Brewery a short distance away. Three guest beers available.The original pub bar remains relatively unchanged over the years. The flagstone floor and inviting inglenook fireplace bring character and a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The bar is popular with walkers and cyclists and has ancient ghost stories to add to it’s charm.
