This compact, stone-built village pub is well worth seeking out. The bar area has flagstone flooring and a large inglenook with seats inside. A small passage leads to two further cosy rooms. Near to the Knightly Way footpath, the pub is popular with walkers and cyclists and incorporates a 45-seater restaurant, kitchen and a shop selling local farm produce. Three guest beers are available. The original pub bar remains relatively unchanged over the years. The flagstone floor and inviting inglenook fireplace bring character and a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The bar is popular with walkers and cyclists and has ancient ghost stories to add to it’s charm. The ‘snug’ to the rear of the bar, is a comfy casual room, with double doors that lead to an outdoor courtyard.
