A lovely 16th-century ironstone village pub with a low-beamed and brick-floored traditional bar to the front where locals and visitors can chat or relax in cosy armchairs in front of a real fire. The stone-built dining/lounge bar and the conservatory restaurant are decorated and furnished in smart modern style. Three changing ales come from local micros, and in summer a real cider is also available. Food is prepared by an award winning chef using local produced ingredients.
