BRANCH OPEN MEETING – PIDDINGTON NN7 2DA – LocAle - WED 13TH JULY
For this summer branch meeting, this will be held in the Spread Eagle, Piddington, a venue that will be new to many members, especially as I don’t recall ever arranging a meeting or social here. Phil Mannion has been in residence for five years now and offers three beers including one from our county brewers. We don’t have many meetings down this way either, so it would be good to see some new faces too. Meet in the back room for 20:00.

BRANCH BREWERY PRESENTATION – KETTERING NN16 0HY – LocAle - FRI 22TH JULY
Following the Northampton County Beer Festival judging of the county’s breweries, we are pleased to make a presentation to Greg and Lobby at Potbelly Brewery who won the Overall Northampton Champion Beer of the Festival with Olde England Black Prince and first in the Premium Ales category with the Bloke Down the Pub series Gorgeous Gary. The presentation will take place at the brewery during their weekly Friday night Brewery tour events. Therefore please book before Saturday 16th July. Meet at 19:00.

BRANCH CIDER PRESENTATION – FARNDISH NN29 7HJ - FRI 5TH AUGUST

A tour of the facility at the Grange Farm, Farndish, near Irchester and Wellingborough will take place followed by a visit to the taproom which opens the first Friday of every month (17:00 to 21:00). Meet at 19:00 for tour.

BRANCH BREWERY PRESENTATION AND MEETING – TOWCESTER - LocAle - WED 10TH AUGUST

BRANCH SOCIAL MEETING – STOKE BRUERNE NN12 7SB - WED 24TH AUGUST
Prior to the Bank Holiday, we hold a social event at a fine country pub complete with canal and locks. The Boat Inn is a lovely pub with a superb snug which overlooks the Grand Union Canal. A good choice of beers form the Marston’s stable is always on, and includes beers from their other breweries. Meet from 19:00.

BRANCH MEETING – RUSHDEN NN10 0AW – LocAle - WED 14TH SEPTEMBER
We make our second visit this year to the Rushden Historical Transport Society where the meeting will be held in the station coach. With six beers including a dark and two ciders, there will be something for everyone. Meet at 20:00.

BREWERY VISIT – STOCKPORT- ROBINSONS – LocAle - SAT 24TH SEPTEMBER
After 181 years of brewing in the centre of Stockport, Robinson’s Brewery will be moving to a new site near Stockport. Before the brewery closes though, I have booked tours around the brewery which is £10. Afterwards we can visit the many pubs in Stockport, which also includes eleven National or Regional Inventory pubs in and around the town. I am planning to hire in a coach, although with the increase in fuel and extra distance, at the moment the cost is £40 if I fill it. I’m negotiating a lower price and if I cannot break-even, then the second option is the train which works out at around £35 from both Northampton and Kettering on a Groupsave. I have everything reserved until the end of July, so please book by 31st July and let me know if you want to do the brewery tour. If the numbers are low and the train is the only option, please let me know if you are able to join in the Groupsave or if you have any discount cards that you will use so that I can get the best fares for everyone.
