Kings Arms, Polebrook

I know we have spoken to some of you in the past, and thought we’d update you on the progress of our mission to save our pub.
We have agreed a price with the landlord to purchase The Kings Arms in Polebrook, near Oundle, and have set up a CCBS to run the charitable part of the organisation which has been accepted by both FCA and HMRC (called Polebrook Community Hub Ltd) which will run the building as a community hub, incorporating coffee shop, farm shop, pharmacy collection and the pub. The operational part of this will be run by a CIC, a Community Interest Company.
This organisational set up is, I believe one of only three in the UK, and shows great potential to be the blueprint to save many rural pubs.
We are at around 60% of our funding objective, via share purchase, and charitable donations, which of course recieve gift aid. Our next steps are to undertake a crowdfunding campaign to finance the rest.
As we are a Northants pub, we would like to see how we can work together to get over the next hurdle, which is publicity.
This is also a shout out to ask you all to help Polebrook Community Hub by growing our social media reach, prior to us launching our crowd funding initiatives over the next few weeks.
